On the night of the blood moon, a human girl feels two claws at her throat at once — the Wolf King and the Vampire King, locked in a thousand-year war over the twin-bloodline running in her veins. Bound to the wolf by a blood pact, caged in the vampire's snow realm, Mira tears her own truth open piece by piece: the burning mark on her collarbone, the mismatched eyes — amber gold and rose red — the black-and-white wings that rip out of her back, and a betrayal sealed away a thousand years ago. Her own father turns her into a lab specimen, a probe driven into her neck; to protect the child in her womb she bleeds on the altar and wakes both kings' final power. She builds the world where two bloodlines finally stop killing each other, and the two kings learn to bow before her — just as the ancient Priestess returns, and the name both races sealed away begins to wake inside the cracking seal. This time she is nobody's sacrifice. She is the dawn two worlds have been waiting for.
