My List

Arthur Smith, a battle-hardened FBI legend, never expected his only grandson Aaron to end up in the ICU—beaten bloody by a rich kid's crew after a minor fender-bender. The punk, Hudson, son of real estate mogul Jason Brown, thought money could make it all go away with a $5 million settlement offer. Local cops looked the other way. That lit a fire in Arthur like nothing else. He dusted off a secret line he hadn't touched in years. Within the hour, FBI Director Bryan rolled in with a full tactical team, locking down the hospital. When the Browns realized who they were up against, they crumbled—offering everything they owned, but it was too late. Arthur didn't stop there. He rang up DHS Secretary Connor, and together they froze corporate accounts, shuttered properties, and dismantled the Brown empire piece by piece. Midway through surgery, Aaron's vitals flatlined. Dr. Hawkins—the White House surgeon Arthur had pulled from hell back in his war days—flew in overnight and pulled the kid back from the edge. Aaron survived, but the brain trauma might leave permanent damage. Arthur, scarred and battered from a lifetime of service, wasn't about to let his grandson carry that weight. He had every attacker hauled in for interrogation and made damn sure the Brown family would pay for every last bit of it.
