Twelve years ago, Iris Hale was forced to pretend she chose a man in front of the whole school to shield her teenage lover Audrey Vance, ruthlessly cutting off their secret romance and leaving Audrey drowning in hatred over the so-called betrayal. Twelve years later, Iris works as a bunny girl waitress at an exclusive private club to cover the heart surgery fees for her six-year-old nephew Kris, who suffers from congenital heart disease. By chance, she crosses paths with Audrey, who has grown into a cold, all-powerful corporate tycoon. Consumed by twelve years of resentment, Audrey uses her wealth and exclusive contracts to trap Iris beside her, lashing out with humiliating retaliation while tangled up in tangled love and hate. As old classmate Vivian unearths old swimming pool surveillance footage and Adrian’s blackmail records, the full truth slowly unfolds. Audrey finally learns Iris’s abrupt departure was nothing but a desperate sacrifice to protect her from scandal and ruin. Overwhelmed with remorse, Audrey stands against arranged political marriage, her ruthless father, and scheming villains. She risks everything to shield Iris and Kris, letting go of her obsessive possessiveness to make up for the lost twelve years with sincere devotion. In the end, all wrongdoers face legal punishment. Kris undergoes a successful heart operation. Free from past pain and misunderstandings, the two lay bare their true feelings and build a warm, peaceful life together.
